Madeleine Lamont was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and currently resides in Toronto. She earned a BFA Honours degree from York University in 1990. Since graduating from York, Lamont has maintained an active involvement in the Toronto Arts scene, exhibiting regularly and participating in the curation and coordination of several community projects. She has created outdoor sculptural installations at the Koffler Gallery and The Visual Arts Centre of Clairington, and has had numerous solo exhibitions at Weiss Gallery, Calgary, Christine Klassen Gallery, Calgary, David Kaye, Gallery and Art Interiors, Toronto, White Water Gallery, North Bay, Women’s Art Resource Centre, Toronto, The Gallery, University of Toronto and Redhead Gallery in Toronto. She is currently the owner and principal and co-director of Lamont Stewart Art Projects, a Gallery Project designed to participate in Art Fairs, Exhibitions, POP UP's and Online Sales.
